Welcome to Portland!

A couple of announcements from us for the weekend! Firstly, we're incredibly excited to announce a new member of the Liars' League fold - our new, extremely hip West Coast sister, Liars' League PORTLAND!

So massive congratulations to the Portland team, Pamela Fleischmann, Veronica Proctor, Jennifer Springsteen, and Alida Thacher! That's obviously awesome news! Slightly less awesomely, here at Liars' League NYC, due to slightly unforseen circumstances we have to cancel our forthcoming event on 4th February. But don't fret - we'll be featuring this month's Run & Hide stories in future - either as a separate event once we've sorted a date out, or alongside future themes. Sorry to everyone who was hoping to come along to see us in February - but we'll be back in force at KGB on Wednesday, 6th April for our appropriately titled Mistakes & Missteps event! And if you'd like to submit a story for Mistakes & Missteps, the deadline is Monday, 29th February.

This Wednesday at KGB Bar - join us for an evening of Magic & Moonlight - our last show of the year! Featuring writers Christopher Green, Rhuar Dean, Joseph Sugar Brodsky, TJ Fox, and Tiffany Michelle Brown with stories read by Amber Bogdewiecz, Jere Williams, Mark Woollett, and Sicily Rockmore.

That's 7pm this Wednesday, 2nd December at KGB Bar in the East Village for our last reading (and literary quiz) of the year - entrance is free, the drinks are cheap, and we'll even have Holiday treats for you to get you in that seasonal mood...

Massive thanks to everyone who came along to last night's CRIMES & MISDEMEANORS reading! We had fantastic stories, amazing performances, and an awesome audience... You'll be able to read all the stories from the evening on our website later today, and listen to the recordings and podcast on our site, in the iTunes Store and on Stitcher Radio over the weekend.

And if you're interested in submitting, we're currently seeking submissions for our last edition of the year – the theme is Magic & Moonlight, and the deadline is Saturday, 31st October. Stories should be between 800 and 3000 words long, unpublished, and all interpretations are welcome – just see our website for full submissions guidelines.

The Biggest Short Short Thanks Ever!

A huge thanks to everyone who came along to last night's Short & Sweet Flash Fiction event! We'll have the stories up on our website in the next 24 hours, and the podcast and recordings online and in the iTunes Store as a free podcast over the weekend.
