As ever, we'll also be bringing you our regular knockabout literary trivia quiz - so this month, expect questions on literary births and childhood, and the meantime, watch this space for details of the evening's readers - coming soon! So that's Wednesday, 3rd June at KGB Bar in the East Village - entry to the show is free, but make sure you're there early if you want a seat... 

We're also currently seeking submissions for our our first ever Flash Fiction event!  Stories should be up to 1000 words, though all other guidelines still apply - full and recently updated submissions guidelines are available on our Submissions Page. The submission deadline is Tuesday, 30th June.

Next deadline: Short & Sweet - Flash Fiction

We're excited to say we're currently accepting submissions for our first ever Flash Fiction edition - Short & Sweet!

The deadline is Tuesday, 30th June - and this time, we're accepting stories up to 1000 words only. All other guidelines still apply - if you'd like to get an idea of what we're after, you'll find more details on our Submissions Page, though if you have any questions, just drop us a line. In the meantime, our next show will be on Wednesday, 3rd June - we're reading submissions for that right now, and we'll have a lineup for you by next week, so watch this (small) space for details! 

So if you're reading this, then chances are you'll want to know about the next (free!) PEN Workshop on Tuesday, 28th April, where guest speakers Rachel Fershleiser, Maris Kreizman, and Kevin Nguyen will be discussing “Online Community for Book Nerds (and Book Sales!)" This morning workshop starts at 10am, and it'll be at The New School - details on the Facebook Invite at this link. We'll see you there!

In the meantime, if you'd like to submit a story to Liars' League NYC, there are two weeks to go until our next submissions deadline - the theme is "Born & Bred", and the deadline is Wednesday, 30th April. You'll find a recently revised set of guidelines (including some idea of the type of pieces we tend to like) on our submissions page. Happy writing!

Liars' League NYC's BBC debut!

We're excited to announce this Sunday, 12th April at 2.45pm (that's 7.45pm UK time) you can hear the BBC debut of Vito Racanelli's Do Days, read by E James Ford back in February for our Entrances & Exits event!

You can hear the broadcast either on the radio, or via the Radio 4 website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05qf586. And while you're waiting, here's a taste of what's in store - an extract of Vito's story, set to film by production company Heavy Entertainment!

We’re happy to say the stories and recordings from last week’s Kiss & Breakup show are now available for your reading and listening pleasure on our website – and if you’d like to hear the show in its entirety, you can download a free podcast of the night at the iTunes Store or on Stitcher Radio!
