Thanks to everyone who came along to last night's Marriage & Divorce show/ceremony at KGB!
Though we weren't able to feature an actual marriage (or divorce, for that matter), we did have five amazing stories performed by the finest, most professionally eligible actors in town, and we think that's enough of a cause for celebration. Also, there was a fair amount of confetti. We'll have all the stories and photos up on the site today, while the podcast should be available in the iTunes Store by the weekend.
So, a massive thanks to our writers - C.D. Rose, Rosalind Stopps, Jennifer Haskell Smith, Sarah Amandolare, and Daniel Guzmán - and our actors - Jeff Wills, Elizabeth Murray, Leigh Ann Cobb, Josephine Cashman, and Amber Bogdewiecz! And as ever, thanks also to Denis, Dan, and the crew at KGB, and congratulations to the winners of the various Don DeLillo books. We really hope you're not Delillo'd out. Or suffering DeLilloverindulgence.
We'll be back at KGB the day after the election on Wednesday, November 7th at 7pm for our Overworked & Underpaid Show - and if you'd like to submit a story in the meantime, our next deadline is midnight EST Wednesday October 31st for which the theme is Naughty & Nice. For more details check out our submissions guidelines, and you can find stories and recordings from past shows here on the site, as well as free podcasts in the iTunes Store!
And don't forget, our esteemed patron and owner of KGB Bar Denis Woychuk's new musical drama, Isaac Babel and the Gangster King - it's Fiddler on the Roof meets The Godfather, and frankly we can't think of a better reason to see it than that - will be performed at The Kraine Theater from November 1-25th - tickets and more details over at the HorseTrade website. Go see it.
